Molds

Molds are in the fungi kingdom and considered neither plant nor animal. They cannot make their own nutrients and instead must absorb their required nutrients from other sources. Some molds like Penicillium, can product antibiotics (penicillin) while other molds, like Aspergillus, can produce cancer causing substances (aflatoxin).
