The American Dairy Products Institute (ADPIAmerican Dairy Products Institute) is pleased to announce that Andy Powers has joined the team as the new Vice President of Technical Services.
Powers brings over 30 years of commercial, scientific, and technical experience including qualityFocus on doing things well and producing a product acceptable to consumers assurance, regulatory and food safetyFocus on avoiding bad events and harm to consumers. experience to ADPIAmerican Dairy Products Institute.
No stranger to the dairy industry or to ADPIAmerican Dairy Products Institute, Andy served as the commercial manager of specialty ingredients & proteins for Hoogwegt U.S. / Lone Star Dairy, where he was responsible for managing and expanding Hoogwegt’s specialty ingredients portfolio with new, complementary ingredients in the dairy space. During his time with Hoogwegt, Andy was a member of ADPI’s technical and standards committees. Prior to joining ADPIAmerican Dairy Products Institute, Powers served as the Vice President and Senior Consultant for Newton Enterprises, Inc., and also held positions at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), Akorn Pharmaceuticals, and Biosys Biotech, Inc.

Powers is a two-time graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology, and a Master of Business Administration.
