Online access to Module 1.1 (approximately two hours of training) from our DI360 Training Course:
Dairy Farm Practices Today and in the Future
Session Objectives:
- Dairy animal welfare management guidelines
- Tools and resources on how farmers measure and improve their environmental footprint
- How dairy farmers enhance safe thriving work environments to provide excellent cowCondensible out water More care and produce wholesome milk
- Farm biosecurity
Milk Production, Composition & QualityFocus on doing things well and producing a product acceptable to consumers More (Intro to Dairy Chemistry Terms)
Session Objectives:
- Understand how milk composition changes
- Basic chemistry and structure of milk
- How enzymes work
- What is denaturationChange in the structure of a protein, resulting in the loss of its natural (native) shape, but not its primary sequence (amino acids). More
- Basic dairy microbiology
- Importance of spores and biofilms
Session 1 is taught by Emily Yeiser Stepp, Sr. Director, Industry Affairs of fairlife, LLC, and Session 2 is taught by Center of Excellence member, Karen Smith, Owner of K.Smith Consulting.

Dairy Ingredients 360 Training Course
ADPI’s online training/education course that provides a comprehensive, 360 degree view of the dairy ingredients and products sector. Participants receive 36 hours of instructional content from dairy ingredient subject matter experts split into three Modules.
The course is offered twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
NEW Member Benefit: ADPIAmerican Dairy Products Institute More members have access to annual training credits to use towards the cost of registration for the full course. Core Courses for Interns

ADPIAmerican Dairy Products Institute More is pleased to offer support to member organizations through summer intern programs! Member organizations can request up to 12 hours of training offered through our Dairy Ingredients 360 Training Course. A one-time fee of $500 allows your organization to customize a training program for interns that includes:
- Selecting up to 12 hours customizes the training package to your organization’s needs (see links below to full course content and objectives from the Spring 2025 Semester)
- For up to 5 interns: Each person will receive an individual log-in to participate in the training sessions in ADPI’s e-learning platform
- As part of the online course, each participant will take quizzes following each session and participation can be tracked
